I just bought the dvd at the store and was wondering if there are any updates for the game. If so how do I access them. I went to downloads and it just looked like the warbirds game and add ons. I tried from within the game and kept getting wb3.exe.zip is corrupt...so I thought I would try manual download of updates.

You should be able to access the updater from your start menu. They are two separate executables(wb.exe and updater). Start>allprograms> mouse over IENT total sim series>Warbirds>update wbs. If you can't do so, you have a corrupt installation. If you had AVS running during install that could be the cause.

there will be an update in the next month or so... new graphics package.
updates happen like once a year or so..

He will probably have to update the install from the disc to be current. Aside from that he can't launch WBs with a busted wb.exe file! Short of a new clean install running the updater should fix the corrupt .exe.

Not really sure what you are all saying..talk to me like i am 8 years old . I tried to launch the update from within the WBs program and I keep getting a corrupted wb3.exe.zip I turned off my AV....is there anyway to manually update. Was wondering still a rookie, under 800 and whatever points, when will more planes be available in campaigns ...like the B17.

if your using win xp for example..go to all programs, scroll up to ienentertainment, it goes to warbirds, then to warbirds update...click

You do not have to open WBs to run the updater. It can be launched as a stand alone app. > = go to next with cursor, in the path I described above. This path allows you to run the updater 'outside' of WBs.

You did not say in your Forum post what product you were having issues with?

FlyBoys, Dogfights, WarBirds?

We did note a problem with the updater for Dogfights recently.

We have fixed that issue and suggest you try to update again.

Please note we are always improving and updating the product as we have been doing for many years. Sometimes we have new updates that do not get into the updater properly.

We fix as soon as we find them as we did in this case.

It was my antivirus causing the wb3.exe.zip corrupted error. I guess it scans all downloads, the error did say corupted or busy...so I guess it was busy being scanned....BTW it is Dog fights that I have.....how do I get to the B-17 SCENARIOS...THANKS
